Choosing a colour that works in the real room
A colour can look very different depending on natural light, artificial light and the direction a room faces. North, south, east and west-facing rooms can each respond differently to the same shade.
Steven can provide colour sampling and practical advice to help you choose a finish that works with the room rather than relying on how a colour appears on a small screen or printed card.
North-facing rooms
Cooler and softer natural light.
South-facing rooms
Warmer and often brighter throughout the day.
East-facing rooms
Stronger morning light with cooler light later.
West-facing rooms
Softer mornings with warmer afternoon and evening light.
Feature Wall Transformation
Careful surface preparation and filling, followed by a bold and flawless colour finish.
Friendly, professional and focused on the finish
Hello, my name is Steven Plater and I run Dedicated Decorating.
I started the business seven years ago with the aim of providing a friendly and professional residential and commercial painting and decorating service across Braunton, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, North Devon and surrounding areas.
I believe that the quality of the preparation is just as important as the finished surface, which is why I invest in good tools, suitable equipment and ongoing training through the Dulux Academy.
Whether the project involves painting a room, installing wallpaper, spraying furniture or advising on colour choices, my aim is to provide the best service I can and create a result the customer is pleased to live with.
